The morning after
Yesterday was definitely the morning after the weekend before. I know with humans that’s more about drinking alcohol, but for me and Mum it was about tiredness after a busy weekend. It’s funny, I don’t often have days that I just want to chill. I used to when I was growing and my body was doing all the work, but now I’m full grown I don’t tend to have them – until now. Mum said that I was a comparative delight to have around.

Ok, so she’d still sworn at me within twenty minutes of getting up, but I guess I may have been being a little tiresome at that point. After that I simply said, ‘If you want me I’ll be in the office’. I know that makes it sound as thought I was working, but that’s where my favourite bed is. It used to be Wilma’s space, so it feels a bit like winning a prize to me.
Playing Dead
I did throw in a little entertainment for good measure. I can honestly say, I have no idea what made me do it, but I did it twice and it made Mum laugh, so I’ll probably do it again. Unfortunately, Mum didn’t capture it on film. She was vacuuming and as she came to the part of the room I was in I rolled onto my back and played dead. I’ve never thought to do it before. Usually if I roll onto my back I wriggle around, rather than just putting all four legs straight up and not moving a muscle. Anyway, as Mum laughed I repeated the position. Mum said could I do it on command but I’m not sure whether I want to.
Training in the rain
Mum does lots of training with me on a daily basis, but often it’s indoors. Obviously I go to my training classes and I’m off there this morning, but Mum wants me to work towards my bronze. Yesterday she even took me outside to work while it was drizzling. Frankly, she was wasting her time. I just wanted to go indoors.
