Another adventure

There is always another adventure just around the corner. It’s sad that our Swiss adventure is not going to be quite the same anymore, but I’m looking on the bright side and discussing with Mum what we will do next. On the one paw, Mum has promised that we will now start doing more travelling and has said she and I can have a week away at the seaside as soon as she can find the free time to take me. On the other paw, yesterday we got planning permission for some of the work we want to do at home. That means I’m going to have builders to bark at and round up – every herding dog’s dream.

Strange Day

Yesterday was a strange day even by our standards of strange days. While the removals men were loading everything into the van, I had to stay out of the way. To be fair, Mum and Dad had to mostly stay out of the way too, so we went for a lovely walk around our village. We’re all going to miss it. Mum thinks it’s quite perfect and she’s probably right.

When we set off to head for home, the sat nav said the traffic was bad on the motorway so took us a different direction. We drove through all sorts of places that we’re never heard of before. It took longer than we expected so we didn’t get to our hotel until much later than expected.

Mum has said I’ve got to write up the hotels as soon as we’re home. I’ve promised to do that.

Change of plan

Today we have a change of plan. It was going to be a lazy day with not too long in the car, but having to stay at another hotel tonight. Mum and Dad decided they’d rather go all the way home today. That’s going to mean another long day, but on the bright side I will get to sleep in my own bed tonight and that makes it worthwhile.

Love
