Very long day
Yesterday was a very long day. Mum and Dad decided that as there were two of them to share the driving we could cover all the rest of the journey home in one go. I did agree with them when we discussed it. Although I liked the idea of being back in familiar surroundings where my things weren’t being packed up around me, I didn’t really think about what the journey might involve. You have to bear in mind that neither Mum nor Dad can sing in tune. However, for a long stretch of the journey they were taking it in turns to choose music they could sing along to. As you can imagine, I had my paws over my ears for the whole journey.
Missing Switzerland
Mum and I are already missing Switzerland. The weather here in England is miserable. In winter the sky is only a pale blue if it ever bothers not to be grey. Most of all we miss my mountain. It really is our happy place and we both love being there. Mum has promised that just as soon as we’ve finished unpacking she will sort the details out for our next trip.
I used my new passport on the way home and was very proud to hand it over. Mum was jealous as when she had to show her passport she couldn’t used the Swiss and EU lane anymore. It’s a shame she can’t have a Swiss passport too.
Where to walk
Now we have to decide where to walk today. It’s a much harder choice given the miserable weather. I think Mum is thinking of along by the river in Stratford if it isn’t actually raining. Oh how I’ll miss running with my sister in the snow. Mud is fun up to a point, but it is nothing like as good as snow to romp in.

Wilma
Rosemary and Wilma keep that dream alive and visit Switzerland again.
The scenery is so wonderful.
Oh I will, I promise. There is nowhere as special as my beloved homeland.
