Week 2

This is week 2 of the builders and it already feels as though they have been here forever. It hasn’t even been a full week and we’re already at least a day behind due to rain. I’m hoping they get chance to catch up as we just want our garden back. To be fair, I’m coping better than Aristotle. He says he’s just feeling very confused and doesn’t know what’s normal anymore. I think he’s too old to be quite as adaptable as me and it’s hard for him. Besides that he lives for his garden and he likes to make sure it’s all in order. He’s very upset about the bits being dug up and that really isn’t helping him to stay calm.

Off to the vet

I’ve got my paws crossed for the vet this morning. Most of the main swelling has gone down, but there is still a hard lump underneath. Now I just need the vet to work out what’s causing that and what we need to do to fix it. Now that Mum can see properly, one possibility is that it was a wound that Rafa caused when he was here, but she’s not sure about that as it would have been a bit of a delayed reaction.

Ari’s back legs

Ari is having all sorts of problems with his back legs not going where he had in mind. One minute they’re keeping up with his front legs and then next they’ve gone sideways. Mind up he prefers that to finding his back end on the floor and wondering how it got there. Mum is making him do a little more walking and doing his physio exercises with him whilst he waits for his first treadmill session. It really is very important that he tries hard with this. It’s hard to get about if your back legs don’t work.
