My beach hut
This is my beach hut – what do you think? Ok, so it only has paint in it at the moment and even when Mum has moved everything it won’t be very exciting inside, but at least it looks fun. We’ve still got to put the ice creams sign up on the outside. I got quite excited about that and asked if Mum would be stocking dog ice cream too, but she says the sign is ironic and there won’t actually be any. I think that’s more fraud than irony.
Stratford Greenway
Today I’m off for a walk with Penny at Stratford Greenway. It won’t be a really long walk as Penny isn’t quite nine months old yet. She was born in Belgium and was one of the litter Mum went to visit while I looked after Dad earlier in the year. I’ve not been to the Greenway for a while, so I’m looking forward to it. When it’s dry it’s a lovely place to walk. One time we went it was most certainly not dry and we had to find shelter because it was so bad, but tomorrow should be ok.
Lemon Trees
The lemon trees are thriving in the greenhouse. Mum had a chat with them yesterday and said they shouldn’t get too carried away. The rate they are going we won’t be able to get them out again. The longer they can stay out there the happier they will be. Mum doesn’t think they will appreciate the underfloor heating in the garden room. Mum has even been looking at when the last frost date is in order to work out how long they might be indoors for. Where we used to live the average last frost date was May 1st to 10th. Fortunately where we are now it is between 21st and 30th April.
