Back to hydrotherapy – Thursday 13th February 2025

Back to hydrotherapy

I was back to hydrotherapy yesterday. It’s the first time I’ve been for a few weeks because of my eyes being bad. My eyes aren’t right yet, but at least they aren’t all closed up anymore. Mum told my hydrotherapist how much better I’ve been doing. I felt quite pleased until that meant that I was made to work harder. The incline on the treadmill was increased and the amount of time I had to walk went up too. Mum had my favourite treats at the ready to reward me after each stint. It all went very well, but I was quite tired when I finished and came home to sleep. That’s not so easy when there’s an annoying puppy in the house.

Back to the vet

Today I’m back to the vet about my eyes and waiting to see just how much improvement there’s been. If it’s enough then I’m coming off the medication for a week to see if my eyes stay good. If there isn’t enough improvement then I have to move onto a long-term medication. Paws crossed I don’t need that.

Crazy Puppy

Pebbles was crazy puppy again yesterday. I don’t know if it’s about her teeth, her hormones or just growing. The days she’s like that she’s just on springs and very very bitey. Mum was fed up with wearing the same jumpers so found some others in the cupboard that it wouldn’t be the end of the world if Pebbles damaged. Of course, that was the first thing Pebbles did! It turned out Mum wasn’t quite so happy about that as she’d thought.

We took Pebbles when I went to hydrotherapy and she went into the main part of the vet’s to get weighed. She is now 13.3kg. On the graph that Mum is inputting her weights too, at least she is starting to look as though she isn’t going to be oversized. She just grew quite a lot early on and is now on a more steady pattern.

Love and woofs
