Watching television
Pebbles likes watching television. That might not sound strange to you, but it is in this house. We’ve only just found out because it’s the first time that Mum and Dad have sat down to watch any television together since Pebbles moved in eight weeks ago. I have never got television at all. Alfie liked watching ball games and would go behind the television to look for the ball. Shadow liked watching animal programmes. Apart from that none of us have been television watchers at all. Until now.

Pebbles was watching a Sherlock Holmes programme. She was rivetted. Every so often she would turn to look at Mum as though asking about what had just happened and then looked straight back to the screen.
How she does it
We now know how Pebbles takes her collar off. It isn’t how Mum thought. Mum guessed that she was doing it with her mouth but she was wrong. She’s worked out that if she bashes the catch on something then the quick release mechanism can be activated. She’s really got it down to a fine art. Sadly, that means Mum is going to have to change what collar she is wearing to see if we have one with a more secure catch. Pebbles still needs a quick release catch in case of accidents, or another dog getting hold of her collar, but it needs to be Mum rather than Pebbles who takes it off.
Practising her training
Pebbles has been doing her homework with Mum. There are three things she’s working on for her classes and some others which Mum is working on too. For classes she is learning touch, but Mum had already started that with her so she’s quite good. She is doing loose lead walking, which is fine as long as Mum has a supply of treats. The other one for class is when Mum has a treat in her hand, Pebbles has to look to Mum and not focus on the treat. She’s learning it in a slightly different way than the rest of us did, but she’s doing ok.
Love and woofs
