Good luck Bonnie and Ada – Saturday 8th March 2025

Good luck Bonnie and Ada

Pebbles wants me to say ‘Good luck Bonnie and Ada for tomorrow.’ They are two of Pebbles’ older sisters and they will be in the showring at Crufts tomorrow. A number of our friends and family will be there with them, including Polly who is one of Shadow’s granddaughter’s as well as being my great-niece. We’re a close community in every sense of the description.

Pebbles says she’s hoping to be there herself next year, but Mum has pointed out she’s going to have to do an awful lot of work on her training first. It won’t be Mum in the ring with her if she does go. Mum is hopeless at things like that. We’re hoping that Polly’s human will show Pebbles, but they need to meet each other first and see how it goes.

An emotional moment

When Mum went to our Discover Dogs stand yesterday she had an emotional moment. There are lots of lovely photos on the booth, although Mum forgot to take a picture for us. In amongst all of them were lovely pictures of Alfie, Shadow, Aristotle, Megan 2 and Shadow’s litters. For a moment, Mum found she had tears in her eyes and had to compose herself. It’s hard for humans that our lives are so much shorter than yours.

Thinking of Aristotle

Mum’s been thinking a lot about Aristotle recently. She’s been planning all our vegetable crops, which was one of his jobs. Pebbles is a hole digger, but she hasn’t shown a lot of interest in planning anything in them. And as you know, I’m not a gardener. I just like eating the produce. Mum’s planting a lot more this year, now the building work is out of the way. She’s keeping to things she does well and which she enjoys eating. Planting will begin shortly.

Love and woofs
