Chilling out
We spent most of yesterday chilling out. I know that doesn’t sound exceptional, but I mean we ALL spent time chilling out – including Pebbles. OK, so chilling out may be an exaggeration in Pebbles case and we didn’t do it together exactly, but we did have a lovely quiet day. Mum thinks that Pebbles needs the opportunity for crazy vigorous play on a regular basis – but that’s easier said than done. She is going to talk to Pebbles’ friend Maggie’s mum tomorrow to see if they can arrange a play date for them.

Anyway, Pebbles did as part of her chill out actually lie down for short periods of time. She was also given the opportunity for supervised access to rooms in the house she doesn’t normally go in and she really enjoyed it.
The week ahead
It’s going to be a strange week. Dad has to go to America for work and we’ll all miss him. Mum is talking about trying to get me and Pebbles together while he’s away. She might be better waiting until he’s home to help. Now that Pebbles is doing better Mum thinks it might be time to give it another go. Her idea is that instead of outdoors, we try in the kitchen with both of us being given our favourite chew so that we focus on that rather than each other. We’d both get much more time with Mum if she could co exist in each other’s company.
Dodging the rain
Mum is carefully tracking the weather so that she doesn’t miss any opportunities to walk Pebbles or do the gardening. Obviously, she could do some of that in the rain, but neither she nor Pebbles are quite as keen. Walking Pebbles is hard enough work when the weather is good, so I think the rain might add one complication too many.
