Stopping my tablets
I’m not sure stopping my tablets is going quite as well as we’d hoped. I’ve halved my dose so far and already managed a bit of a panic attack. I was in the bedroom with Mum and I might have closed my eyes for a moment. One second she was right in front of me and the next thing I knew I’d lost her. I shot out of bad and ran to the bathroom, but she wasn’t there. Then I ran into the hall and ran in circles for a minute. Fortunately, I cocked an ear and heard Mum calling my name. She was standing at the side of my bed, but the opposite side from the way I’d been looking. I’d panicked without first looking around me to realise she was still in touching distance. If this continues I may need to have a chat with my vet.
Limited time
The worry is that if I stay on them any longer they are addictive and other parts of my body will stop doing things on their own – I’m not really sure how it all works. Then coming off them becomes even harder. Besides that, my vet did say that they only tend to work for a few months anyway, so they aren’t a long term solution.
I’m definitely best if I can keep Mum in sight at all times, but she does tend to move. Although to be fair, I can lose her without her actually moving.
Fence Repair
Mum has another gap in the hedge to fill. It doesn’t look big enough for Pebbles to go through yet, but we have animals using it to come into our garden, so if we aren’t careful Pebbles will not be far behind. Mum knows we have other animals due to her poo clearing round. Even we can’t manage 22 poos in 2 days. Ok, so Mum might have missed some and I did keep going on my walk on Saturday, but even I can see that’s a lot of poo. Some aren’t quite the right shape and size to be ours either. I know they don’t smell like ours, but Mum doesn’t get that close.

I just love your Alfie Bar picture, a nice tongue-in-cheek moment in the middle of Dry January! ? Please make mine a Martini, dear Wilma, shaken not stirred, just like Mr. Bond.
I am told that today is Blue Monday, “the most depressing day of the year” (?). Well, your post about the poo collection in the garden cracked me up. I too have to do forensics when out in the garden to determine who owns those poos. The lion poo pellets might work as a cat deterrent but neither foxes nor wild boars are fazed by it!
Poo is a very serious subject – but I’m glad I brightened your day.
