Water Table
The water table in the orchard has gone critical. Where the spring line is at the top of the orchard, there are plants sitting under water. Given that’s the highest point of the garden, you can imagine what the rest of it is like. Where the underground stream runs, there is a large area in front of a Bramley Apple tree that is dangerous for a human to stand on. They would either fall over into the bog or be up to their shins in mud. Where the well used to be, the ground has sunk a little again. Mum is fully expecting a sink hole at some point in the future, but she hopes it won’t be anytime soon.
Boggy
The rest of the orchard is quite boggy and best for humans to avoid at the moment. I guess that would be easier if Pebbles and I didn’t spend so much time up there in the mud, and have it as our favourite place to go to the toilet. Mum has to walk up doing a poo clear each day and has to be very careful.
Obviously, the pond is full. It’s amazing thinking back to how low it was last summer. Our garden certainly does not have a water shortage at the moment. The poor roses are completely underwater again, which won’t do them any good.

Weather forecast
The weather forecast says it’s now going to rain for the next ten days. It all makes gardening a bit of a challenge. Our only real option is going to be building an ark. Looking on the bright side, we’ve got plenty of wildlife to join us in the boat. On the downside, we may cause mayhem chasing them. I wonder if Noah had that problem.
