New Favourite Place
I’ve got a new favourite place. Yesterday afternoon we started by spending some lovely time out in the sunshine. After all I said – a whole lovely day of sunshine. We did all those important jobs like clearing up poo and then cutting up some branches to go in the green bin. After that Mum said we’d earned a sit down. She’s starting taking some things out to the railway room. We’re actually going to call it the Steam Room to make it sound like we’ve got a spa. It will actually be steam trains, but no one needs to know that.
Anyway, we’ve taken one of my beds out and Mum has put it part way into the room where it will go under one of the tables the trains are on. I didn’t get that far into the room. I said the door mat with the highland cows on was where I wanted to be. Not because of the cows, although obviously that helps. It’s just that from that spot I can get a pretty good view down the garden. It’s not as good as the view Mum gets from her window seat, but it’s not bad.
Chilling out
I’d love it to be dry and sunny again today. If it is Mum says we will do some more gardening and then chill out in the steam room. Mum loves natural light and the window seat is a great place to read. She won’t let me up there, so I can only imagine, but I can lie on the rug again. Mum is still sorting out some more cushions to make her spot comfortable. I rather fear that if it gets too comfy we won’t get her out of it. I really need to find my steps out of the shed so I can join her.
