Overexcited
Pebbles got overexcited at her training class and it didn’t end well. Fortunately, Mum is only bruised, but Pebbles is firmly in the dog house. The problem when you have ADHD is that sometimes if you get excited you simply cannot contain yourself, or at least that is the case with Pebbles. Fortunately, she took some time out and was then able to rejoin her friends in the class. Apart from that, she wasn’t doing too badly… if you discount the fact that ‘stay’ and ‘wait’ are not words in her vocabulary. In reality, the more ‘fun’ the exercise, the more likely it is that Pebbles will be good at it. Show her some weaving poles or a tunnel and she’s delighted to take part. Ask her to stay in a down for more than five seconds and you may as well be asking her to speak a foreign language.
Vegetable trough
Mum started working on the vegetable trough with Pebbles yesterday. That was a mistake too. Pebbles kept trying to help, especially when Mum was using the electric screwdriver. Then Mum was looking for a small piece of wood. She could have sworn she’d put the two remaining pieces together. Mum checked all the places she might have put it and it wasn’t in any of them. Then she looked around a wider area and found where Pebbles had quietly taken it to. Fortunately on this occasion, Pebbles hadn’t actually started chewing it.
After that, Pebbles came inside and Mum asked if I’d help her finish the build work. I can be relied on not to stick my nose into the screwdriver and not to run off with the pieces of wood. My only gripe is the instructions describing it as a two person job. We find one person and a dog can do just as well.
