And now we’re listed

And now we’re listed on the Maven App. It really was as simple as Pebbles contacting the help desk to say she wasn’t there. At least our breed wasn’t there. She’s a very happy girl. She’s also a girl who exceeds her ‘activity goal’ on a daily basis, but I guess we were expecting that. It’s too early to read anything into the results. The app makes clear that we have to give it at least seven days to learn Pebbles’ normal. I’ve got news for them. Nothing about Pebbles is normal. We are looking forward to finding out what it tells us, but one thing we are not expecting is normal.

Toad in the hand

Never mind toad-in-the-hole, it was more a case of toad-in-the-hand when Mum was gardening. She needed some compost to go into a pot of sunflowers. Fortunately, Mum was wearing gardening gloves. Mum put her hands down into the bag and brought out a large chunk of compost. It was only as she put it in the pot she realised that also in her hands had been a large toad. It was not in the plant pot. Picking it up once was one thing, picking it up a second time was more than Mum wanted. She tipped the soil back out of the plant pot onto the garden so the toad could hop away at his own convenience. I’m just pleased she spotted him before she put the sunflowers in the pot and squashed everything down.

Planting finished

On the bright side, it does mean the sunflowers are now in and the dahlias and for that matter the squash. I think that’s everything. Now we just have to remember to look after them so that I can take some photos for you. No toads were harmed in the planting of the garden.

Love and licks
