A bed explosion
Pebbles had a bed explosion yesterday. Mum came home to find the filling from Pebbles’ bed all over her crate. Of course, your first assumption is that Pebbles got bored and destroyed her bed deliberately, but you’d be wrong. Poor Pebbles takes care of her own things. She was sitting amidst the filling looking utterly bewildered. Mum knew immediately that whatever happened had been an accident. Once Pebbles was off playing with Sloth, Mum investigated. What had happened was that the zip had given way and all the filling then came out when Pebbles had moved her cushion around her pen to get comfortable.
It may only be a short term fix, but Mum worked the zip along to the end and did it up again properly with the filling inside and all is well. For all Pebbles throwing herself into life and not being able to control her emotions, she is not a deliberately destructive dog. Accidentally destructive yes, deliberately destructive no.
Sunday Fun day
Sunday is our Fun Day. Although as I’m taking a crate to sit in while the other dogs play, it might not be quite so much fun for me. Pebbles is hoping to take part. I just hope the other dogs know what they’re letting themselves in for. I think they might be learning some tricks and doing slightly different things than normal.
On the bright side, I’ll get to see my half-brother and that always makes me happy. The other good thing is that Mum is taking a big crate for me, so I won’t have to be cramped for the day. It’s always good to look for the positives and cling on to them.
I just wish we’d had my results. Mum says if she hasn’t heard anything by Tuesday then she will chase them. I’m anxious to know if they have found anything more out.
Love and licks
