Totally unfair – Saturday 30th March 2024

Totally unfair

Yesterday was totally unfair. I went on a lovely walk around Warwick Racecourse with a family who wanted to meet an Entlebucher as they are considering having one in their family. Now don’t get me wrong, the walk was wonderful and I really liked the people. None of that was what made it unfair. They wanted to know about Entlebuchers. I’m an Entlebucher. So there I was trying to tell them all about our breed when Mum kept trying to talk over me and even told me to stop barking. How fair is that? It’s all right for her to talk non-stop but not me. I know I have a loud voice and may have been shouting just a little, but in the end I couldn’t get a word in edgeways.

Too early

My real disappointment with the walk itself was that it was too early in the day to bump into my boyfriend. I even asked Mum if we could hang around for another hour so we’d be there at his usual time. We met one or two nice boys as I walked round, but none of them were a patch on the sheepdog I adore. I’d like to go back again over the weekend, but Mum says that it’s too busy in Warwick being the Easter holidays and we’ll go to places where it will be easier to park. I shall just have to wait until next week.

So much rain

We were really lucky that our walk was between the rain showers. When I say ‘showers’ it makes it sound as though there wasn’t much, but we’re talking ‘power shower’ rather than trickly of water type showers. We’ve got floods everywhere again, especially in the garden. I don’t think there’s going to be much grass cutting going on for a few days!
