Crufts starts today
Well Crufts starts today and I’d just like to wish all my friends who are attending the very best of luck. Some of them will be in the showring and others will be on our Discover Dogs stand. Mum asked if I would like to go, but I’m not really feeling up to it. Pebbles said she would love to go, but she’s still too young. Mum will be going on Friday for the first time since before Covid. She will probably panic being around so many people, but she’s going to try. She will wear her mask and see how she gets on. Apart from attending a meeting about puppy imports, she’s hoping to buy us a few leads. I say ‘a few’ because of Pebbles’ tendency to chew them. Mum decided this is the perfect opportunity to find the ones she really likes.
My new medication
I started my new medication yesterday as soon as Mum collected it. I have to use it for the next few weeks and then have repeat blood tests to see if it has made any difference. Mum has her fingers crossed. I’ve got my new eye ointment too, so I’m hoping to feel like a new dog very soon.
Pebbles went with Mum when she went to collect the meds for me. It meant she could continue seeing the vet as a fun place rather than just somewhere you go when you’re ill. She sat on the scales while she was there and now weighs 15.9kg – that’s an awful lot of puppy! Worryingly, the chart Mum is using to track Pebbles weight, still has her on course for ending up at around 27.5kg. That is an awful lot of dog. She isn’t supposed to be that much and Mum is wondering how big she will be. She has no spare fat on her now, so it isn’t that she’s over eating.
Love and woofs
Wilma
