A funny moment
Oh we had a funny moment yesterday. Mum wasn’t laughing, but the rest of us were. Pebbles didn’t want to go into her crate. As Pebbles was being good, Mum said she could go with her while Mum had her shower. Mum and Pebbles disappeared into the bedroom and the next thing we heard were screams from Mum followed by her marching Pebbles out of the bedroom while stark naked. Pebbles had never seen Mum without any clothes on. One of the problems with her ADHD is that anything which is different to her normal can send her behaviour sky high. Mum took her clothes off to go in the shower and Pebbles promptly lost the plot was jumping to head height and being grab bitey. Picture the scene – but not too well as it’s not a pretty one.
No defence
There was Mum suddenly totally without defence with Pebbles jumping at her crazily from any and every angle. All Mum could do was grab Pebbles harness, hold her to ground level and frog march Pebbles back to her own room. Our front door is make of clear glass – fortunately there was no one outside as Mum walked past with Pebbles.
Pebbles continued to spend the morning in an over-excited state, which left Mum concerned about taking her for a walk. The odd thing was that out walking she was as good as gold.
As Mum had to go out to see Granny in the afternoon she took Pebbles with her in the car. Pebbles did quite well. Even though she screamed a bit each time Mum got out of the car without her, she actually settled down before Mum was out of earshot, which is a bit improvement.
It’s just being naked that seems to be the problem – I guess you can’t win every battle.
