A lovely surprise
Pebbles and I had a lovely surprise yesterday. Here we are in kennels, feeling a little sorry for ourselves if I’m being strictly honest. Then who should come along but my very dearest half-brother, Salvo and my niece Izzy. They only came to see us for the day, but it was such a lovely surprise. Salvo and I have been close since we were tiny puppies together in Switzerland. Izzy is one of the few dogs who can totally cope with Pebbles. It meant I could have a lovely day with a dog my own age, while the girls could wear each other out playing. I can honestly say that if kennels could be like this every time we came it would be a much nicer prospect to come. I even saw Pebbles with a smile on her face.
Early start
Mum is having an early start today on her drive to Germany. She’s promised to ring us when she gets to her overnight stop which is just outside of Ghent, in Belgium. It may sound odd, but she’s only going to Germany in order to get her Covid vaccination. It is the nearest place she can get a vaccination which doesn’t contain something she’s allergic to. Sadly, nowhere in England supplies a vaccine which she can have. I really feel I should be there for her, but those days are gone. I wish Dad could have gone with her, but sadly he has to work. She will just drive there, have her vaccination and then drive home again – just like any ‘sane’ person would do.
As long as it helps to keep her safe then we’re all in favour – even if it does mean us having a short stay in kennels so that she can go.
Love and licks
