Power cuts
We spent yesterday evening having power cuts. There seems to be something wrong with our power cables. When there is windy or wet weather our power has repeated surges. So last night the lights were flashing on and off. The internet kept stopping and worst of all it also stops our heating working. When the electricity people did some work to cut trees a week or so ago we thought it was going to fix the problem, but it didn’t. Now we’re hoping that it can be sorted out easily as it’s getting very annoying.
Update on the furniture building
Mum has made a chair. That’s the only thing which is complete so far. There are still a lot of pieces which may or may not end up looking like desks. Then there are some other pieces which might start looking like some shelves. Things got a bit fraught yesterday when Mum and Dad had to go to pick up some parts for the shelves from a van in Tesco’s car park. There was no sign to say where the van would be parked. It was a very cold afternoon and tempers were becoming a little worn by the time they found where to pick up the remaining pieces of the shelves. That was before coming home to the flickering electrics.
Squeaky snake

So there we are with no one in a very good mood except Pebbles. Pebbles has adopted squeaky snake as her current favourite indoor toy. Squeaky snake has about ten sections to his body and each one contains its own squeaker. Pebbles has realised she can play snake a bit like a musical instrument. She can make an awful lot of noise for a very long time. She loves it. – The rest of us? – Not so much!
