Too hot for hot dogs
Well it’s so hot outside that it’s probably too hot for hot dogs, never mind us regular dogs. We don’t actually have a bar-b-q, but I don’t think we’d be using it if we did. Despite being allowed off lead access to the garden, I’m really not in a position to make the most of it at the moment. I did take the opportunity to go up into the orchard for the toilet before it got to hot yesterday. All being well, I’ll do the same again in a moment. Apart from that, I went out and stopped at the shade of the first tree I came to, then came back inside at the first opportunity.
Strangely for her, Pebbles took exactly the same approach. Her activity tracker is not showing her as doing very much in the way of moving at all. On the bright side, she is sleeping better again now that she’s home.
Mum’s old car
Mum’s old car is being sold tomorrow, as long as all goes to plan. Seeing it go will be a bit emotional. It feels very strange to me. We’ve driven round in that car for the last eight years. I was only three when we got it and helped Mum stick paw prints all over it. Apart from the stick on paw prints, there have been a fair few generated by my very own muddy paws over the years too.

All I hope is that it goes to another dog who will cherish it the way we have. We’ve been to so many places together over the years. It was funny looking back and finding the pictures of me and Shadow first trying out the dog crate in it. Happy times, but life moves on.

Love and licks
