Pacifier
What do you give to a dog as a pacifier? I’ve had a bit of a manic few days. I don’t know why and neither does Mum. Every day for the last three has been much the same and Mum has got pretty fed up with me. Yesterday I’d already had my ration of chews. Yes, I know it’s shocking that I’m rationed, but what can I do. Mum is mean and that’s all there is too it. I’d had a couple of filled Kongs. Mum couldn’t give me anymore of those as she’d only just made up a new batch and they hadn’t frozen yet. I did say I could have them as they were, but apparently that would have been too easy. Duh – my point exactly. That’s how I like them.
What next?
It was already dark so not so easy to work in the garden with me. There was a risk of trick or treaters calling, so Mum wanted me to be a little calmer. Frankly, why anyone would risk calling here is way beyond me, but Mum seemed to think they might.
That was the point when Mum brought out the pacifier of last resort. It turns out she has a stash of bones put away for emergency use. She declared it an emergency and got one from the top shelf of the cupboard. It worked – for a while.

Dog bed
On the downside yesterday, the big comfy dog bed that I was yet again trying to destroy, has been taken away. All I have in the office now ‘until I can learn to behave’ is a piece of vet bed. Honestly, I’m a very deprived dog. This is not the standard of care I expect or think I deserve. What do you think?
