Can I have a Corgi?

Please can I have a Corgi of my own? I had simply the best day ever yesterday playing with Cookie. She is like a little version of me and is huge fun to be around. Mum got on really well with her too, so I think she’d fit nicely into our family. I asked if she’d like to come home with us, but of course she has a family of her own, so that wasn’t possible. I think Aristotle would really like her too, but then he likes most girls.

Cookie is much younger than me and not as overweight, so I did get a little tired and need a break. Mum said I have a lot of work to do on my fitness levels to get back into shape, but we are working on it.

Off to the vet

This morning I’m off to the vet to have my passport stamped for coming home. I wanted to go to Alfie’s old vet, so I could say ‘hi’ but he doesn’t seem to be there anymore. Mum pointed out it is now fifteen years since she and Alfie lived here so he’s probably retired by now. I’ve had to register with a new local vet, but that’s ok as we like where we’re staying so much that Mum is already talking about booking to come again.

Garden news

Ari said he couldn’t wait until we go home to show us how the sunflowers are doing, so he sent us a photo. I can see why he’s so excited about them. Hopefully they will be flowering even more by the time we get back and see for ourselves. Cookie had the most amazing Bougainvillaea in her garden. I said that if Aristotle saw that he’d be wanting to add some to the patio at home. Mum said there are only so many plants she can bring indoors in the winter, so he may have his work cut out.
