This is my bed – Saturday 22nd June 2024

This is my bed

This is my bed, what do you think? I was surprised that Mum got it finished if I’m being honest. She’s promised to put it out of the way so that none of my friends sit in it while I’m not able to. Mum says that we can spend some time sitting there tomorrow as she’ll need a rest. It will be good to have a day out of my crate and snuggled up to Mum. That’s one of the hardest things of being in my crate – that Mum isn’t in here with me. She says she would struggle to get in, but I do think she should try.

Strange day

It’s going to be a strange day today. My lunch will be early so that Mum can go to Fun Day on time. She’s promised to leave Dad to lock up so she can come back and feed me at tea time and give me a walk before everyone gets here. Then I’m going to be sitting in a room on my own while being able to hear all my friends in my garden. I’m so sad that I won’t be able to join in. Mum says it will be worth it in the long run, but there are days when it doesn’t feel quite like that. Yesterday Mum was worried as I was limping first thing, but it was only because I’d been sitting oddly and couldn’t get going. Later on, I had absolutely no problems and she breathed a sigh of relief.

My fur

My fur on my back is growing back very well. That is good news, but there is just one small drawback. I suspect it’s going to hurt when the vet pulls my plaster off to remove my stitches. I hope she’s got a magic way to remove it without just pulling. It’s a very big plaster.
