Off my meds
I’ve come off my meds – all of them. It may only be for a few days. Both Mum and Dad noticed I’d got a bit of a glazed expression and my eyes didn’t really look right. Mum concluded it was one of four things
1) I’d found some fermented apples and was a little hungover. I told her that wasn’t the case. She’s concluded that I’m telling the truth as I haven’t seemed drunk at any point. That was more Aristotle’s style than mine.
2) It was caused by me being in pain. However, I’ve been chewing my knees less than I was so she’s hoping that I’m not just being stoic and keeping that to myself.
3) The look is caused by my medication. Mum thinks this is the most likely, which is why we’ve decided to stop me taking everything for a few days to see if things improve.
4) There is something else wrong that we don’t know about. This is our last resort. We’re hoping that as long as stopping my medication sorts the problem then we won’t have to worry about this one.
I’m booked in for my annual vaccinations in a fortnight, so we can talk about it all with the vet then if we need to. I’ve got my paws crossed that it’s nothing worrying. I’ve really had enough. For Dad to notice my eyes didn’t look right then they really couldn’t have done.
Casting call
We received a very exciting email yesterday from a television production team needing one of our breed for their programme. Under normal circumstances I would have jumped at the opportunity, but I’m not at my best at the moment, especially with strangers. Mum has asked my brother Salvo if he can do it and he’s persuaded his humans to let him have a go. How cool is that – Salvo might be on tv. He’s already ‘famous’ for being on one of the Eurotunnel bill boards but that didn’t go to his head, so I don’t suppose this will either.
I’ll tell you more about it when I’m able to.
Love
Wilma
