Socialising
I haven’t done much socialising in the last couple of years. Really, it all started with Covid and then all the health issues I’ve had. I’ve struggled having all the builders around and have barked an awful lot at them. For everyone’s benefit Mum has kept me apart from them. Anyway, Mum recognises that it really is time to try to help me to reintegrate with the world, but because my behaviour has been so bad, she’s a bit reticent to just throw me in at the deep end.
Yesterday was a huge achievement. Some of our neighbours came round and I was able to join in and meet them. I sat with Mum and had lots of cuddles but I didn’t bark much and I quite liked it. Now I need to be a little better behaved with strangers when we are out and about.
Camera test
Mum started doing a camera test with me in the garden yesterday. There were just two small problems. Firstly, for some reason the videos don’t seem to have uploaded to her computer so she needs to find out what she’s doing wrong. Secondly, I didn’t like the beep sound it made when it started filming and didn’t want to go anywhere near her. Mum has turned the sound off and asked me to please not hold it against the camera. I have a record of bearing a grudge if I think something will make a high pitched noise. Mum has pointed out, if I won’t take part in filming then we’re going to have a problem. I’m thinking about it.
Puppies
I’m quite excited about our trip to see Groot’s puppies today. After doing so well yesterday, I’m wondering if I might be ok seeing everyone. I might give it a go, if Groot doesn’t mind.
