A list of jobs
Mum and I have a list of jobs to get through today. Thankfully, most of them are outdoors. It would of course be so much better if it was sunny today, but at least it’s reasonably dry. One job we won’t be doing is cutting the grass. It’s just too wet, but there are plenty of things that we can do. Moving everything back to the shed is high on the list, but then so is cutting the back hedge. I think Mum is going to spend a little time on each of the jobs in rotation so she doesn’t get bored. I quite like that idea as it will give me plenty of opportunity to herd her from one place to the next, which is what I do best.
Indoor time
I’m going to be honest, at this time of year I do tend to get fed up helping long before the work is done. I use Dad as my excuse to go indoors. Dad is not a fan of being outdoors at this time of year anymore than I am. He’s planning to work on indoor jobs, so I shall check on him and have a nap every so often.
Fortunately if I take up residence in my chair in the hall, I can sit beneath the picture of Wilma’s mountain and a lovely blue sky, while keeping track of what both my humans are doing. I might not have both eyes open all the time, but I miss very little of what’s happening.
End of the apples
I’m almost at the end of the apples for another year. Which is one of the reasons I don’t want to simply stay outdoors. It is a disappointment that they’ve gone, but Mum says it’s better for my waistline.
Mum says it’s a good job the apples have come down as she needs to put the Christmas lights up in the trees. At least that will cheer things up a little.
Love
Wilma
