Ready and waiting
I’m ready and waiting for the big day tomorrow. Mum and I finished getting things ready for Pebbles yesterday, just in case there was anything that was going to take us longer than we thought. We’ve put the toys in her outside pen, including a tunnel, some balls of different sizes, a chew toy, a rope and a couple of other things. I’ll take pictures when Pebbles is here. We still have to work out how to put our swing up. Mum is thinking of hanging it from a low level branch of one of the trees so we can both use it. Me and Pebbles that is, not me and Mum.
Then we made up her bed next to mine. She’s going to sleep in a crate to begin with so that she doesn’t wander anywhere while Mum is asleep. Mum is right next to us, so if Pebbles needs anything she only has to say. The sloth toy with the heartbeat is ready and waiting for her too.
Indoor pen
The indoor pen looks fun. I think I’d like to play with a few of the things, but Mum says they aren’t for me. There’s a wobble board and of course the pig that oinks, a cuddly toy or two and some chew toys. Mum was told she should use a wobble board some time ago, so she says she’s going to be sharing that one with Pebbles. She demonstrated it to Dad, but he’s concerned that Mum is going to end up in hospital if she uses it.
The car crate is ready too. That was a bigger job, as the double crate as been in the garage and needed cleaning thoroughly before we could use it.
Now we just need Pebbles.
Vet Visit
I had a vet visit yesterday too about my leg hurting. My vet thinks I have some arthritis in both my knees and hips. We discussed my options and I’m now trying Librela injections to see if they help. I’ll have a couple before we make an assessment. If I feel better during that time we’ll carry on and if I don’t then I may need to have a scan to see what exactly is going on. Paws crossed that the injections work.
