Christmas greetings from Wilma and Pebbles

I bring you Christmas greetings from Wilma and Pebbles. It’s funny no longer being an only dog. It is taking me some time to adjust. Mum says I’m being my own worst enemy some of the time at the moment. I overreact, worrying that she’s going to pounce on me. Mum says if I just stayed still and quiet then Pebbles would be calmer around me. Have you ever tried staying still and calm when a small annoying puppy is mistaking you for their Mum and seeing whether you have milk for them? It’s hard.

Anyway, I asked Santa Paws for a puppy and now I’m remembering the old adage ‘be careful what you wish for’. I’d just like to thank Santa Paws and ask what his return policy is? Seriously, I think we will sort ourselves out eventually, but I never expected it to be this hard. Dad has concluded that when he brings Biggles into the family it will have to be in the summer. He’s watched Mum trying to contend with Pebbles in the cold and dark and concluded that’s not for him. I can see his point. Mum has a head torch, but every so often it seems to slip over her eyes, which really doesn’t help.

It took some doing to get a Christmas photo of us together. I wasn’t the problem. I’m used to photos and am more than happy to pose for the camera. Pebbles wriggles. I think we got more outtakes than shots that are worth showing you. At the moment, Pebbles is happier digging up the moss in the lawn than she is sitting still. The only time she’s still is when she’s asleep and I like her best then. I know she’ll learn. Today she is nine weeks old and I guess I didn’t know very much at that age.
