Getting used to kennels – Thursday 20th February 2025

Getting used to kennels

Yesterday Pebbles started getting used to kennels. Mum drove us both there in the morning. I already know the people there and how things work, so in the end agreed to go with her. I did put one condition on helping and that was that I wanted my own kennel and didn’t want to have to be in with Pebbles for the whole day. We had kennels next to each other, so it worked for everyone. Then when we went out for exercise we went out together, just so I could check she was ok. She’s not bad in small doses. Anyway, Pebbles loved her day and told everyone who works there that she loves them. She does that with everyone at the moment, but she’s young.

Missing seeing my brother

It did mean I missed out on seeing my brother Salvo and niece Izzy. Mum gave them my love. Apparently, Izzy kept wanting to sit on Mum’s knee, which of course Mum didn’t mind at all. I didn’t miss out on doing all that much as the humans wanted to sit and have a catch up, which is far less exciting from a dog point of view. Having said that, some of it was to see if I can go on holiday to Switzerland at the same time as Salvo which would be so cool. I do love going on holiday with them.

Home again

Mum picked us up about 3.30pm and we headed home. I was really pleased to see Mum. Pebbles insisted on going round and saying goodbye to all her new friends before she’d get in the car. We are back again in a couple of weeks for an overnight stay but I don’t think Pebbles will mind at all.

Love and woofs
