Taking it in turns

Pebbles and I are taking it in turns to have Mum and Dad to ourselves. We’re both enjoying lots of cuddles, which suits us both quite well. We had a walk together but that was closer to chaos. Pebbles was jumping on me every time she came close. I wasn’t happy. Then Pebbles was tying Mum in knots with the lead, which I thought was funny, but Mum wasn’t quite so amused. It only really works when Dad can come with us too. I really wouldn’t want Mum trying to hold both our leads as I wouldn’t be able to get away from Pebbles at all. Mum said she remembers an occasion years ago when she had Shadow and Megan on the leads at the same time and they decided to have a fight. I think it left her traumatised!

Favourite food

At the moment, Pebbles’ favourite food seems to be worms. She spends her time digging up and eating earth worms. Mum isn’t thrilled but it’s hard to find a way to stop her. On the one paw, it is better than when she wanted to eat stones, but on the other paw it really isn’t what she’s supposed to be doing – especially as it leaves holes in the grass.

To be fair, Pebbles hasn’t yet tried steak, so I’m guessing when she does she’ll stop thinking worms are quite as good. I think we’re helping Mum with some cooking today, but it won’t be steak. Mum makes her own cereal and when she puts it into the jars she tends to drop some on the floor – that’s where I come in. I love oats. Pebbles is going to enjoy them too I’m sure. It’s just that I’m not really keen to share them with her.

Love and woofs
