Low Flying Planes – Wednesday 2nd April 2025

Low flying planes

Yesterday Pebbles spent her day getting used to low flying planes. The planes in question were, according to Dad, Typhoons and a Hawk. To Mum and Pebbles they were simply planes. When they went over the first time, Pebbles was a bit unsure of them. By later in the day when she’d seen them several times, she was the one pointing them out and watching them go over. Last week on a walk she’d seen low flying helicopters, so she really is getting used a wide range of things.

Aira Force

In the morning yesterday, Pebbles went to Aira Force. She didn’t walk all the way. Mum took her for a gentle walk and then sat down with her simply enjoying the scenery. Mum suggested that Pebbles should sit on the seat for a nice picture – Pebbles had other ideas.

She had a lovely paddle in the stream while she was there too. Later in the day she continued her paddling and went back to Crow Park in Keswick. It’s a lovely park next to Derwent Water where Pebbles could paddle to her heart’s content. If she’d been able to be off lead, Mum suspects she would have gone right in.

Making people smile

Pebbles is such a happy girl and so full of life that everywhere she goes she makes people smile. She loves meeting people and on the whole people love meeting her. Mum does have to be careful that she doesn’t knock unsuspecting passersby off their feet. It means Mum has to stay very alert at all times. A moment relaxing for Mum and chaos breaks out.

Sticks

Mum has explained to the people who run the guest house, that the reason there is a pile of sticks outside their room door, is because Pebbles brings one back every time she goes out for a toilet break. Mum makes her leave it outside and then when they go out again Pebbles leaves that stick and goes in search of a new one. At least they can be used for kindling for the fire.

Love and woofs
