Pebbles had a good day
Pebbles had a good day yesterday. Ok, so she head butted both Mum and Dad in completely separate incidents, but you can’t have everything.
It was a miserable autumn day and none of us felt like spending too long outside, so Mum worked in the kitchen for some of the day so that Pebbles could be around. Pebbles does not just sit quietly. She has to be given constant entertainment, which generally means filled Kongs and chews. But with their help she mostly kept herself out of mischief. She also had the best walk that Mum can every remember having with her. The met the post van twice and three dogs – none of that fazed Pebbles. She sat at the side of the road for the post van and although she wanted to go and join the other dogs, she didn’t play up too badly.

Back to training
Today Pebbles is back to training for the first time since the holiday. Mum is crossing her fingers that she will get on as well today too. One very important thing has been that Mum has been able to wear some clothes that Pebbles is not familiar with without them being shredded. That is a very big step. Mum doesn’t want to push her luck too far, but it does start to open up the possibility of changing her clothes more often! (Just to reassure you – she does wash them regularly.)
Getting ready for the party
Mum is starting to get ready for Pebbles party on Saturday too. She has refused to make a cake, after we all turned our noses up at the last one. However, Mum is preparing food for the humans – she’s better at that. I suggested she could cook some steak for us dogs and maybe get some vanilla ice cream for afters, but I think it fell on deaf ears.
Love and licks
