Class Clown
There I was saying Pebbles would be better taking circus lessons and she spent her lesson yesterday playing the class clown. To be quite honest, Mum was relieved. When Pebbles got up, Mum thought she was going to get no sense out of her whatsoever. Between clown and nuisance, Mum takes clown every time.

Pebbles is always pleased to see her friends, but yesterday even more so for some reason. She started her lesson doing her ‘commando crawl’ act as well as rolling on her back with her legs in the air. Then half way through the lesson she went back into crawl. At one point, Mum was expecting her to spend the whole lesson crawling. You should see how muddy her new harness and collar are.
Halloween Fun
All of the exercises Pebbles was doing had a Halloween theme to them. One wasa. Relay race where Mum had to pick up a witches hat, a little broomstick and then a bucket with a toy in it. Pebbles was supposed to sit nicely while Mum picked up the items. It may not surprise you to learn it didn’t happen quite like that. Pebbles wanted to grab the broom. When Mum wouldn’t let her have that, she decided to pick up one of the toys for herself and carry it back in addition to the one Mum had carried. I’m sure she was only trying to help.
Then there was an exercise where Pebbles was supposed to wait nicely while Mum opened a gate and then went through with Pebbles following. I can remember that one from my training and used to be very patient with Mum fumbling with the gate. Pebbles, on the other paw, took the opportunity to steal the soft toy bat that was attached to the gate. At least she gave it back at the end.

It’s probably best not to ask how her ‘wait’, ‘stay’ and ‘stop’ went. Let’s just say there’s room for improvement!
