Follow up for Pebbles
Today is the follow up for Pebbles with the behaviourist. Pebbles is really looking forward to showing how well she is doing and Mum is rather proud of her. For her last meeting, Pebbles could only be involved in part of it when everyone was outside with her. It would have been impossible for everyone to sit around the table to talk about anything with Pebbles present. Today Pebbles is planning to be part of the whole meeting. As she said, it’s important that everyone knows how she feels about things rather than that they just talk about her.
Still shedding
One think she is going to ask about is the fact that she is still shedding so much fur. In places the poor girls is quite threadbare. Mum says Pebbles reminds her of a favourite old teddy bear, but Pebbles doesn’t appreciate the comparison. Mum is fed up with having to vacuum and despite giving Pebbles some kelp powder each day, the problem doesn’t seem to be going away. We really are now uncertain if this is about her hormones or the medication she’s on.
Despite all the treats she has, Pebbles is quite thin too. That can be a side effect of the medication. Depending on the decisions taken with the behaviourist today, Pebbles might find her food rations are increased slightly. Given I’ve spent my life battling with my weight, can you imagine how jealous that makes me?
Gardening
Mum says we all need to get some gardening done over the next few days. With the time of year and Mum not feeling like it, she has fallen behind on the schedule she set for herself. I think we have to try to encourage her to catch up. Quite honestly, I’ve reached the time in my life where I want a fireside rather than the cold outside. I’m probably not the one to help.
