I did it
I did it. I went into the railway room with Mum and it was fine. Because I didn’t like the hammering before when she was there, I’d built it up in my mind as a bad place. Yesterday Mum was going there and it was quite cold and windy outside. I didn’t really want to stay outside, but I was in two minds about it. If I’d asked really nicely then Mum would have come back to let me into the house, but I knew that wouldn’t be very fair.
When I was standing outside the railway room, Mum came out to me and very gently encouraged me to give it another go. I went in and asked if I could get up on the window seat with Mum, but it was too high for me without some steps. So, after a bit of a sniff, I settled in the bed in there. Before I knew it was I sound asleep and Mum said I was snoring.
Pebbles wants to help
Whatever Mum is doing, Pebbles wants to help. Unfortunately, Pebbles has a very different way of doing things. Mum needs to take quite a bit of cardboard out to the recycling bin. Pebbles wants to break each box into a thousand pieces to make it easier to fit it in the bin. That might help, if she didn’t leave them all around the garden. Mum wants to plant a very small wild plum tree that she has been given. Pebbles wants to run round the garden with it first to see where it would look best. The problem is that the last plant Pebbles did that with, didn’t survive its garden tour.
I said to Mum it might be better doing things like that when it’s only her and me around.
