Don’t be fooled
Don’t be fooled – this might be the face of a relaxed contented puppy, but you should have seen her five minutes before. And five minutes after, come to that. Mum wanted a quiet day yesterday. I thought that was an excellent idea and was quite happy to cuddle up and snooze. Pebbles also thought it was a good idea. She bounced on Mum, bounced off Mum. Then she brought her squeaky snail, cow and the antler again. Eventually, Pebbles flopped down for five minutes and enjoyed a really nice cuddle. Then the whole process started again.
She’s a funny dog. Mum had put all the toys in the toy box after she’d had them out the day before. Once again Pebbles sorted through carefully and brought them out in the exact same order. All her toys have an order. The ones she takes outside always go out in order of Sloth, Hoppig, Duck, Moose. Inside it is now Snail, Cow Antler. She really is a special kind of dog.
Plan for today
Given that we did so little yesterday, I think Mum is hoping to have some time in the garden today. Dad is being very strict with her and not letting her do too much until she is better, which is good. She does too much and then gets worn out. I’ve said she should follow my lead and spend more time dozing. Dad says he’s completely up for that sort of approach to the day. Pebbles on the other paw says she wants a more active day if we don’t mind. Mum has promised to watch her playing ball. Pebbles always likes to have an audience. I think she’d really like us all to go and watch, but I’m not volunteering for that one.
