Sunflowers
Today is noted in Mum’s diary as being the day to plant the sunflowers. Of course, last week she was going to plant the parsnips and as far as I can tell that hasn’t happened yet. Perhaps I can encourage her to do both things today so that we’re up to date with the seed planting. I like sunflowers very much, so it would be good for those to get started. This year we’ve only bought the little multi-headed ones that then go in pots around the patio to make it all look very cheerful. We never seem to put the tall ones in the right places. They grow up to be really weedy or get eaten. Occasionally they’ve worked, but most of the time that as much of a surprise to Mum as it is to us.
Entlebucher walk
A number of my friends are going on a walk on Sunday. Because I enjoyed my walk with Otto and Logan so much last week, I asked if I could go. Mum was really sorry but she and Dad already have other plans on Sunday. Why do their things come ahead of what I want to do. My half-brother and niece will be there as well as some of my friends. You’d think that counted for something. I’m not even included in what Mum and Dad are doing on Sunday, which makes it doubly unfair.
On the bright side, Mum thought she had to go to Germany for a few days next month and doesn’t have to go now. We’d agreed to go into kennels so that Dad could go with her. Now we all get to stay at home together, which is far better. So I guess I can’t complain too much. Well, I can complain, I just don’t deserve any sympathy!
