Eye sample results
Mum rang for my eye sample results after my operation. It was good news. Oddly, the odd brown lump on my conjunctiva was probably caused by the irritation of all my eye medication. Typical, in solving one problem you end up creating another. Anyway, it means it’s nothing to worry about and now that it’s gone, having my eye ointment put in is a little less uncomfortable. I’m back down to two mediations in my eye three times a day, which quite honestly is miles better than three different ones three times a day. Mum and I aren’t falling out about it nearly so much now. What is interesting, well at least to me, is that fact that since the lump on my conjunctiva has been removed, the warts on my eyelid have gone down too.
A morning’s work
Yesterday, the sum total of Mum’s ‘work’ amounted to two rowing boats and a deck chair which looked as though it had been through a hurricane. She has started building some of the scenery for hers and Dad’s model railway. In one corner she is planning a Cornish fishing village. The village also has a little beach. Mum is living vicariously through her models. She has a VW Campervan, with surf boards on the roof. She also has some beach huts to build, quite a few deck chairs that she hopes turn out better than the first one, some more rowing boats, life belts and lobster pots. I sit watching as she glues herself to the tiny pieces of wood and can only be glad she’s using a glue that isn’t too strong.

Rain stops play
We didn’t get as much gardening done as we hoped. Mum went out armed with the parsnip seeds only to find it was raining. She’d already spent over an hour mowing and didn’t need much excuse for a break. The parsnips have been delayed until this morning – unless it rains!
