Extreme Action – Tuesday 31st October 2023

Extreme action

Aristotle resorted to extreme action to get out of going to his first new hydrotherapy session. He kept Mum up all night with an upset tummy. Mum was cross with him as she’s pretty sure it was his own fault for eating rotten apples. The only thing Mum was pleased about was that she’d managed to get Ari outside in time every time he needed to go. At least she thought she had. She was mortified when the builder said she might want to check the lounge. When Ari’s upset tum started he was trying to find a door that was open to go into the garden. He was trying to do the right thing, but forgot to tell Mum what the problem was. The problem, as a result was all over the lounge carpet – and I do mean all!

It’s times like this that Mum is very grateful that we own a carpet cleaner.

Living on a slope

Our garden slopes. Normally it’s not too much of a problem. However, when the builders have to create a flat area of concrete for a patio then it matters. Mum couldn’t believe the difference in the levels when they showed her. Now we have to work out how to make it safe so none of us falls off the edge. Mum is always the most likely for that situation so it tends to focus her mind on finding a solution.  It all adds to the excitement.

What doesn’t help is that the drilling moved indoors yesterday. By the time the builders went we were all feeling a little bit shaken. I think they have to carry on drilling today, but I’m not sure.

The funny thing is that the house over the road is starting major building work in another week so it’s going to be awful for our poor neighbours. Mum feels very concerned for them, but there’s nothing we can do apart from try to be considerate. Ari and I are cutting down on the barking in our attempt to help.

Love

Wilma
