Paws Crossed – Wednesday 24th June 2026

Paws crossed

Today is a paws crossed sort of a day. I’ve got my paws crossed that Mum and Dad managed to get up early enough to get to Mum’s appointment. To be honest, it’s not Mum I’m worried about. She has the incentive of toothache. Dad is just being wonderful and helping her, which given today’s temperatures is quite something in the first place.

If all goes to plan we will be picked up at 3.30pm. Mum has warned us that she may not be able to say very much and we should be nice to her. I pointed out that we always are. I then said could she make sure to leave the car running so it stayed nice and cool for when we get in.

Route planning

Mum has done her route planning and is sticking to the A roads as much as possible, rather than the motorways. I’ll be asleep so won’t see much of what is going on, but Pebbles says it will be nice to see some different scenery. Pebbles never so much as lies down on a car journey, so I guess she will see it all.

Mum is looking forward to uploading Pebbles health tracker information when we all get home. We’re interested to see how well Pebbles sleeps in kennels as opposed to when she’s at home. Mum is hoping that now we’ve been using it for a couple of weeks or so, there should be some interesting information to share with you.

Now back to the business of staying cool, while we wait for Mum and Dad to arrive. Our kennels are nice and shady, so they aren’t too bad. It’s when we have to go outside that the problems really start. Even Pebbles doesn’t run around.

Love and licks
