Meal disruption
I do not appreciate the meal disruption caused by changing the clocks. Mum made me wait until the new times, while my stomach was anticipating the old ones. Mind you, one thing that was funny was that Mum had woken up and couldn’t get back to sleep, so she went to make a drink and look at the computer. She got up at about 1.30am and when she came back to bed it was only 1.10am. It’s the only day in the year you can do that, unless you’ve mastered time travel.
About Pebbles
I said yesterday that Pebbles might join us just before Christmas. Well, Betty gave birth to her litter of puppies last week and mother and pups are all doing well. There are three girls and four boys in the litter. Because Mum wants Pebbles to be a breeding dog, it is early days and she’s told me not to get too excited just yet. However, as long as everything goes well, then one of the girls will come to live with us just after I come back from my Swiss trip and in time for Christmas. Mum is already talking to me about the things we need to do in preparation, so I’m feeling a little bit excited. I mustn’t teach Pebbles bad habits. That one will be hard.
In charge of Dad
I’m in charge of Dad for the day today. Mum has had to go to the dentist, which is still near where we used to live. My jobs are to make sure Dad remembers to feed me and take me out. I think I can do those quite well. I might have to bark a bit to remind him. I do hope the builders aren’t making too much noise or I might have to bark very loudly, especially if he’s concentrating on work and not watching the clock. Perhaps I should set some alarm clocks for him just in case.
