Ostrich Bone
I’ve got an ostrich bone and I love it. Of course, being me, I was mad for it for a short while and then went to look for something else. Then I had a worry that Wilma might want it if I left it lying around, so I tried to find some way to get it outside to bury it. Mum wasn’t having any of it. She pointed out that it’s a very big bone and she didn’t want me to dig a hole that size – other than the one I’ve already dug, which I can now almost hide in.

Mum had a chat with the humans that some of my brothers and sisters live with and it seems they are having similar issues with attention span. We all seem to want to chew through leads too. Mum thinks it’s weird that we all have the same tendencies.
On the bright side
On the bright side, my siblings do seem to be like me, loving everyone and everything. I don’t think the one who chewed the remote control and vacuum cleaner hose is too popular at the moment, but that can’t be helped.
We were going on a walk today and I’d have seen my half-sister Bonnie. I was really looking forward to it, but with Wilma being unwell, we can’t go. It’s such a shame. Wilma’s pretty fed up about it too as she’d have seen her brother Salvo. Poor old Wilma will have another day in her crate while I get a day in the garden helping Mum and Dad. Dad doesn’t spend much time gardening, so I’m really excited about having him about too. Maybe he’ll let me bury my ostrich bone. I bet I can get him to leave the door open for me. I’ll pull the old ‘I need a drink of water’ stunt. He has no idea I’ve got plenty of bowls of water outside.
