Jaw strength – Tuesday 24th June 2025

Jaw strength

I can’t work out if it’s jaw strength or tongue length which is the deciding factor in getting to the end of a Kong. The good news for me is that whichever it is I’ve got it and Pebbles hasn’t – yet! It means that every time she has one of the bigger Kongs at the moment, there is some left over for me to have. We even have a big strong Kong that Mum saves especially for me. With that one, Pebbles tends to give up on it way too soon. I’m also the one that goes around giving the floor a good lick to make sure Pebbles hasn’t left any there either. That saves Mum having to wash the floor quite so often.

Next door’s fence

Mum is stuck with dilemma. On the one paw, she’s not well enough to do anything towards improving our preventative fencing around next door’s rotten fence. On the other paw, she doesn’t want to go round to talk to them about it while she’s ill. Her only solution at the moment is to keep Pebbles away from the area. It’s not ideal, but it’s better than leaving Pebbles to visit the neighbours. Can you imagine how that might go? Oh Pebbles would love it, but I suspect the experience would be enough to traumatise any but the most enthusiastic dog lover.

Can we catch Covid

I’ve been asking Mum if there is any risk to me and pebbles from both her and Dad having Covid. She has told me that it’s not ideal and she doing her best not to cough and sneeze all over us, but it seems there is a small risk. I’m crossing my paws that nothing like that happens. Two fo them in the house is bad enough.

Love and licks
