Supervising – Tuesday 4th November 2025

Supervising

Pebbles is getting into the habit of supervising Mum in the garden. Until now, she’s tended to go off and do her own thing. Now she has a run around and in between checks what Mum is pruning and tells her if she’s missed a bit. Of course, Mum still has to keep a very close eye on her. Pebbles is still pretty good at running off with things she shouldn’t have and undoing some of Mum’s hard work at other times.

I had a mooch around the garden when Mum was doing pruning as well. Pebbles stayed indoors for that twenty minutes so I didn’t get too stressed. It was really windy, but it was nice to be outdoors. I really don’t do enough of that these days – other than when I’m eating apples. I’m outdoors for that, but so focussed on the apples that I forget just to feel the wind in my fur.

Christmas lights

I probably shouldn’t call them Christmas lights as Mum put them up in the summer for her birthday. But yesterday we went round changing all the batteries to keep them running. It does make the garden look a bit like a winter wonderland having 1700 lights come on when it’s dark. Mum says we will put the actual Christmas lights up later this month. It certainly cheers things up when the nights are so dark. Mum would like a light up reindeer too, but I think Dad has put his foot down about that. Maybe I should save up my pocket money and buy one for her. I’d have to make Pebbles promise not to chase it.

Mind you, knowing Mum if she did get one it would only be the start. You should see how many animal garden ornaments we’ve amassed. We have quite a zoo in our back garden.
