White Christmas
Well the only way we’re going to get a white Christmas is if we get some paint out. It looks like a wet muddy Christmas is probably the most likely. From a dog point of view, that’s a real shame. We do like a little snow. For humans of course, it’s much easier if they don’t have to cope with snow for travelling, so maybe it’s not such a bad thing.
On the bright side, at 3.03pm today it is the Winter Solstice. That means for the next six months the days will get longer, which will make Mum happy. Today she’s going to change some of the batteries in the outdoor lights. However, she has said that she will take some of them down when the batteries wear out next time around. I suggested that she should leave them up to March and then switch to bunting for the six months to September.
Eternal optimist
Mum is an eternal optimist. She has decided that it is time to stop wearing the tatty clothes that pebbles has made holes in. Mum thinks that Pebbles is now old enough to stop ripping her clothes. I pointed out that being old enough doesn’t mean Pebbles is sensible enough. Mum laughed and said she wasn’t going as far as throwing out the old sweatshirts she wears around Pebbles, just the tee shirts she wears underneath. At some point Mum needs to be able to wear some of her other clothes without Pebbles flipping out, but we haven’t got to that point yet. It’s good job that Mum doesn’t have the urge to be fashionable as it really isn’t going to happen with Pebbles around.
I guess Dad is going to have to get used to being muddy now he’s going to be home all the time too. It may take him a while to get used to it.
