A Bit Boring
It’s a bit boring around here. It’s been bad enough for me the last couple of weeks, being on crate rest. Now Pebbles is a bit bored too. Mum has a bad tooth abscess. She’s really not very good company and with all the medication she’s on, she’s very sleepy. On the bright side, Mum is much happier outside while she is awake, but she’s not quite as energetic as normal and that is driving Pebbles mad. Pebbles also had to miss her training class, so she was pretty fed up about that.
Mum has promised to make it up to her as soon as she is feeling better. The problem is that Pebbles is very much an ‘I want it now’ sort of girl. Except of course for her season, she doesn’t seem to want to have one of those at all. Tomorrow will be 46 weeks since her last one, which is just plain weird. Mum says if she gets to a full year without a season then she will ask the vet about it.
Compost Bins
Our next big job in the garden is to build two new compost bins. Mum is going to try making them from scratch, with a whole load of spare wood we still have from the building work. I think the only thing she needs to buy is the right size of screws. Then it’s just a question of cutting all the pieces of wood to the right sizes. I suspect she may be gone for a while on this project. On the bright side, Pebbles will get lots of outdoor time and can run off with pieces of wood to her hearts content. I shall just wait to view the finished product. The building process can get a bit tetchy!
