Two weeks running
I don’t want to be premature, but that’s two weeks running that Pebbles has done well in her training class. The weird thing, according to Mum, is that wearing a muzzle seems to have improved her concentration. She has even been happy to work off lead without going to investigate the puppy class. In fact, she is starting to do well enough that Mum is also thinking it might be time to plan for her Bronze Good Citizen exam.
In order to pass that, Pebbles will have to do some work on her ‘stay’ but Mum now thinks she could do all the other exercises. Considering there was a time that Mum thought they would never get to that point, it’s very exciting.
Garden ornaments
Mum has a bit of an obsession with garden ornaments. She doesn’t really go for the classical types, but prefers animals. At the moment she’s bringing the ones that were in Granny’s garden to add to our collection. However, after Pebbles liking the rhinos on Clarkson’s Farm, Mum is also wondering about trying to find a rhino to add to her collection. I don’t think she has discussed that one with Dad yet. Mind you, Dad was part of the process of choosing the alligator, so I’m guessing he’d be ok with it.
Worryingly, two of the ornaments from Granny’s garden are gnomes. I’m a little concerned that things may be going in a new direction.
Poo clearing
Either Pebbles’s soft toys have started leaving piles of poo in the garden, or the wildlife around here is getting carried away. Mum is totally fed up with all the clearing up. She doesn’t mind clearing up after us, but from the number and sizes of the poos she has to clear, most of them aren’t ours. She is thinking of putting some signs up to ask local wildlife to go elsewhere for toileting. There has to be some way to discourage them.
