It’s worth being good

It turns out it’s worth being good. Mum has said if I carry on like this then she will reconsider me being able to sleep in her bedroom. Actually, she went even further and said I might be able to sleep on the end of her bed. That is a prize worth working for. It all came about on Wednesday evening. We try to take some time out for a cuddle in the big chair before I go to bed each evening. Wednesday was the first time I’ve really let myself melt into the cuddle. I relaxed so much that I fell asleep in Mum’s arms. We both loved it. I got so much from it, I was left with a lovely warm fuzzy feeling.

After that Mum took me to put me to bed. In comparison my room suddenly felt less warm and inviting and Mum felt bad leaving me. The question is, if I slept with Mum could I be trusted not to pounce on her when she was asleep? To be honest, neither one of us knows the answer to that.

Outdoor day

Mum has spent far too much time on paperwork and other things recently so, as the weather is good, she said we could spend the day outdoors. I think she has some errands to run too, so it won’t be all day, but we’ll enjoy as much of it as possible. From what she’s said we’re back to cutting hedges, but that’s ok. The grass is too wet to cut. She needs to fix the heater in the patio greenhouse too, so it’s ready for the lemons to move in soon. That job alone could take all day if it doesn’t go well. I’ve promised to keep my opinions to myself if it isn’t going well.
