Bugs Bunny would be envious
Bugs Bunny would be envious of the carrot Mum pulled up for yesterday’s lunch. It is the biggest carrot we’ve ever grown as far as Mum can remember. One good thing about that was that it meant there was plenty for all of us to have some. I have to say it tasted very good. It made me think what a shame it is that I can’t jump up into the troughs to help myself anymore. Mind you, if I’d eaten the whole carrot myself I think it might have been a bit much even for me.

Building work
If things go to plan, quite a lot of our building work will be finished while I’m visiting family. Mum has promised that my biscuit cupboard will not be moving, so I’m not concerned. Apparently, we will be starting to put things back in the right places and finally getting much of the house how we want it. I’ve got my eye on a couple of spots for my beds. I need to get in quickly before Mum or Dad think of other things to use those spaces are.
Mum will also be starting in earnest on cutting the hedges. So far she has only worked on the parts she does by hand, because of the risk that there are still birds nesting. I’m hoping I can help with a lot of it, at least to supervise her activities.
Bags are packed
In the meantime, my bags are packed and I’m just waiting for Mum to finish her packing so we can get things in the car. Switzerland, here I come. I won’t actually arrive until tomorrow. Tonight I’m staying at a place in France that I haven’t been to before. Mum is hoping there will be time to go to the supermarket in France before we head there, so that she has something to eat as well as me. I’ve already checked that my food bag has gone in, so I should be fine.
Love
